Investment Associate
During his tenure at Feldman Ruel, Mr. Lax has been focused on the marketing and sale of multifamily investment properties throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, spending much of his time in the upper portion of the North West and North East quadrants. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Mr. Lax pairs his extensive knowledge of area neighborhoods with the industry acumen developed through exposure to commercial real estate transactions in order to provide clients with superior analytical guidance and assist them in assessing the various risks of any potential acquisition or disposition. Prior to his time in commercial real estate, Mr. Lax built a distinguished, eight-year career in the finance sector, working for major financial institutions where he investigated complex financial transactions for criminal and regulatory purposes. His ability to analyze sophisticated financial structures and regulatory landscapes and then convey those findings to others has given him a strong foundation for advising clients with respect to investment decisions, risk profiles, and asset disposition strategies. Mr. Lax earned his Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia after spending a few years living abroad. His favorite activities include cooking, with a particular preference for Mediterranean cuisine, and spending time outdoors by the water.
